My picks for Spring 2010
Whereas everyone who is anybody is now at New York Fashion Week drooling over what is to come this fall, I decided to take a step back and select my favorite pieces for this spring. And here they are:
Tsumori Chisato
You’ll find lots of textured ruffles in Tsumori Chisato’s Spring 2010 look. I love how she does the sheer and shiny mix by adding hints of palettes and color batches on chiffon and silk. The collection, like all her other ones, carry the Tsumori Chisato trademark: the more colorful the merrier. The primary colors brings in a mix of this spring’s muted pastels e.g. rusty rose, champagne and kaki beige contrasted against stark black and white.
Here are some of my favorite pieces:

Marc Jacob
Staying with the fairy-tale, Marie Antoinette look, I move on to Marc Jacob. Here we find ruffles again. Interesting, but not very original (etsy) Marc does a number of ruffled collars. There’s a lot of layering over mesh, flesh, pastel and sheer leggings. Sheer is definitely to be seen everywhere.

Alexander Wang
Hands-down my favorite! Really digging the football Americana look! Love how he mixes the prairie-girl braids with his trademark slouchy, i-don’t-give-a-shit look. Blend of hard and soft material, mainly jersey, leather and some knits. And I would kill for his slouchy, layered pants with high-waisted jersey girdle layered over loosely fit pair of leather pants (and vice versa). The taupe, brown, beige colored leggings slouched over oxford-style, at times peep-toed, heels brings tears to my eyes. But, enough with the superlatives, here are my picks:

Here’s hoping that some of these delicious pieces or similar looking ones ;-) will end up in my wardrobe!
